Granite State Graziers

TRANSITION TO ORGANIC PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM

Granite State Graziers is excited to be a part of an organizational collective that has partnered with Northeast Organic Farming Association (NOFA-NH). GSG will co-host events with NOFA-NH over the coming year, including promoting TOPP mentorship program, providing outreach to farmers, and sharing information about organic agricultural practices with the NH farm and food network.

MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

An important program of TOPP is farmer-to-farmer mentorship. This program will match experienced and knowledgeable certified organic produces who are passionate about organic production and interested in sharing their expertise with farmers who want to transition to certified organic production (mentees). Mentees are transitioning producers who have exisiting farming operations where there are currently employees, managers, or owners. Although applications for this program are accepted year-round, signing up the 2023 deadline provides you a spot for the coming year.

The deadline for this program has been extended to September 30th!

TOPP PROGRAMS

Aside from the mentorship program, the Transition to Organic Partnership Program is holding various educational and technical trainings with local farmers across the state. If you joined Granite State Graziers at Callie's Creamery at the beginning of August, you saw what this program looks like in action!

The goal of TOPP is to transition more acreage to certified organic over the next FIVE years. Summer 2023 marks the kickoff for the programs, and things may adjust as the year changes.
