Grazing School 

We are happy to announce we are holding another Grazing School! 

If you were unable to attend the first, this time around is going to be very similar in structure and content. We will have an NRCS grazing specialist and board members on site to provide valuable grazing knowledge. 

Tickets are $10 per person and will be held at the beautiful Forest Society in Concord, NH. 

This is a TWO DAY event, starting Thursday, 3/28 at 10am-3pm, and picking up Friday 3/29 from 10am-3pm.

Pasture Walk

Thursday, April 18th, 2024 from 5-7pm

We are very excited to announce our first pasture walk of 2024! 

This walk is with Brentwood landowner Emma B. to discuss and better understand how to get the most out of her existing pastures. She currently has three horses on the property and is set to get Texas Longhorns in the coming weeks. 

The majority of the land is under conservation with the Town of Brentwood and the Forest Society. We will have reps from both services out to the walk, as well as an NRCS rep, to discuss this property, as well as answer any questions you may have. 

We welcome local farmers to come out and offer your advice and experience, as well as to hear in real time what it’s like to work with local ag servicesWhether you are a beginning or experienced farmer or simply intersted in the topics at hand, we welcome you!

Jumpstart Your Farm Business with USDA- A Series of Webinars

Are you intersted in getting your farm business of the ground?

The USDA is hosting a variety of workshops where you will hear from your local support staff who serve New Hampshire, from the Farm Service Agency (FSA), Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), Risk Management Agency (RMA) and Rural Development (RD), about how USDA can help you get started or grow your farming operation through a variety of programs and services.

Pasture Walks, 2024

We are starting to plan our pasture walk schedule for 2024! If you joined us for the 2023 season, we toured really great farms, including Short Creek Farm in Northwood and Clarkridge Farm in Goffstown, and are hoping to have even more walks to offer!
