Granite State Graziers

Register now for Integrating Crops and Grazing

Lambs grazing turnips
Tickets are available now for a free day-long intensive workshop on how to use alternative forage crops within your grazing operation. The workshop will be held March 25 in Concord, N.H.

Could annual forages fill some gaps in your grazing season? Do your cows need more protein mid-summer than your cool-season perennial pastures provide? Could the lambs use a higher level of energy in the fall to reach finished weight before winter?

Join us and explore how annual forage crops could fill some or all of those needs. We'll discuss the agronomy of common alternative forages, their nutritional qualities, special equipment needed, and delve into the cost-benefit analysis of the crops.

The program begins at 10 a.m. and runs until 3 p.m.

Registration is free, but attendance is limited to 30 people. Bring a brown bag lunch or a dish to share. Coffee will be provided.

The workshop will be held at the McLane Audubon Center in Concord, NH.
