If you were considering attending the grazing boot camp with Eric Noel and Abe Collins at Steve Normanton's farm in May, Granite State Graziers just made your decision a little easier. If you're a member of Granite State Graziers, or if you join now, the fee for the two day boot camp and meals is reduced from $300 to $250.
The intensive, hands-on two day workshop will run May 10 and 11 at Steve's Farm in Litchfield, NH. It will focus on ways to improve soil dramatically and rapidly using a collection of different techniques such as planned grazing, keyline plowing, subsoiling, soil boosting amendments, cocktail cover cropping, and more, resulting in increased feed quality and quantity, a longer grazing season, and better operating margins.
Presenters are Eric Noel and Abe Collins. As grazing consultant and diversified farmer, Eric has pushed the pencil on the real costs and real opportunities for income from a pasture-based enterprise. In this session, he will lay out techniques and strategies to beef up your wallet through grazing management. Small adjustments in your management practices can translate into big improvements in your bottom line.
Abe Collins is a cattle grazier and the president of Collins Grazing, LLC. Abe has herded sheep in Arizona and milked cows and finished beef cattle in Vermont. Abe is a student of the regenerative agriculture movement. His first-hand experience and belief is that topsoil is a renewable resource. Collins Grazing builds farms from the soil up and helps clients to achieve increased agricultural production and environmental security through improvement of topsoil health and the use of advanced soil monitoring tools.
The workshop will be held at Steve Normanton’s farm in Litchfield, NH. Sponsored by Granite State Graziers. Fee of $250 for members and $300 for non-members covers both days and includes meals.
